Graduated from ETSU (now A&M at Commerce) on a Tuesday, married on Saturday, and started teaching in Dallas, all in one week in January, 1969. Remained in education until I retired, moving up the ladder to an Elementary School Principal. Miss the kids and teachers and most parents (!) but do not miss the politics and the mess that the school districts are in, right now. All but one semester has been spent in Arlington ISD. The one semester was in Dallas ISD.

I have gotten divorced. Actually my husband of 54 years of marriage, ran off with a married woman and lives with her husband and the adulterer. Of course, he was an adulterer, too.... cheated, lied to my face and never showed any empathy for his deceit. Never ever saw it coming, but life goes on!
I have survived a hip replacement and getting ready (Nov 12, 24) to have a complete right shoulder replacement without any help from him. My girls help when they can, but they have families and jobs which take up their time. I am a strong woman and am much better without a person who wanted a much younger woman.

I retired early, but with full benefits, and I do wish that I hadn't retired when I did. My mother was living with me, and my father had passed. A daughter always takes care of family, and I wanted to spend time with my mom before she passed on. My girls had gotten married, and I was hoping for grandchildren to love and play with and give guidance when needed.
