Comments:

I attended North Texas starting the summer of 65 and majored in Elementary Education and psychology. I attended through spring 67; Was a Beta Sigma Phi. I became very involved in politics and in the Texas Jaycee-etts; was regional director and State Chaplin and State Treasurer. I was outstanding Regional Director of the US Jaycee-etts. I was outstanding woman of America twice. I worked at Blue Cross for 15 years, was a dental asst for 10 and then just recently quit my job as a flight attendant that I always wanted to do .
I am now a certified Christian Counselor and very involved in our church, we are Care Leaders. I love being a Mom and Grandma, living in the country but not far from Dallas, have a horse, ducks, bunnies a dog and fish in our pond. I work with my husband with his construction co. and take care of my 98 year old Mom who is adorable

School Story:

Always remember the days we all would go to the store by George Peabody and buy jaw breakers before school and get in trouble with Miss Simmons (2nd grade teacher) square dancing was really fun Phillip Wood was my partner in crime dancing we were actually pretty good!Remembering when we would have to do the ringworm/lice test and see some kids with a hose on their head with the hair saved off. Having cookouts at my house My mom being a girl scout leader and we would have the Boy Scouts over and telling scary stories. Sandy Ray lived by a sanitarium so we really told scary stories and sometimes think we would see people in white coats coming up my yard. Riding our bikes to Stockard for drill team practice so early and then stop by Page Drug Store to buy vanilla cokes. I do remember going to the Military Ball my Sr year with Steve Johnson. wow that was cool to see Sunset as that is where I was suppose to go had I not moved and pouted ever since. We both had a good time he was my BF in 7th grade!! at Peabody. a fun thing when we were Srs. Kimball, Sunset, SOC and Adamson all got together at Kiest Park and looked for Herbie the ghost well we girls never found him but the guys had fun. Then as Srs we had won the KLIF spirit party with Ron Chapman. We also boycotted the lunchroom as someone found hair in their food boy was Mr. Durett mad he made an announcement and was so mad at us

Favorite teacher(s)

Miss Tarver, my firs grade teacher, and Miss Buttons, third grade, Miss Wright 7th grade we got to go the the show at a big discount sometimes free she worked at the vogue theater on Saturdays. Mr. Rhome, he taught Texas History, if you knew things about his son Jerry and I did my brother went to Sunset with him, you would be in good with him and he would help you in history class. The worst ones sorry to say was my 2nd grade teacher ,and Mr. Knox my 9th grade homeroom teacher. If we talked, he would make you stand in the corner and stand on your toes with you arm stretched to the top until he said you could sit down. Bad memories of that one and im sure many had him

Class friends I have kept in touch with over the years include

Janice Giles helped with the Pee Wee drill team in Mesquite where my daughter helped her teaching when she was in HS small world. Michele Carter and I have kept up through the years ever since 2nd grade. Barbara Rodens niece went to Dallas Christian HS with my son. Just recently Phillip Wood and Steve Johnson on FB and CM. Bobby Griffin and several others fun keeping in touch with everyone. We had a Stockard reunion about 13 years ago and we saw several that attended Sunset and Kimball had more fun there then my Kimball one spoken with Diane Lovelace, Michele Carter, best friends since 2nd grade, Theresa Fitzhguh, Janice Giles.

My old high school friends would be surprised to know

That I was a Flight Attendant to AA it was so much fun. I went to Kim Dawson to take commerical classes maybe somday I will continue. Have been in two TV movies one The Life of Ponco Barnes with Valerie Bertinlli, my son was in this one too, the other one of Texas Ranger it was fun. Very active in local politics,
Treasurer to Texas Jaycee-Ettes and won many awards

I didn't, but I wish I had

attended Sunset!!! and graduated from college but my time isn't up yet I haven't kicked the bucket so I will finish.
