It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing Ronnie Clyde Shelton, 77, on November 4, 2024 at home in Argyle, Tx. Ronnie was born on December 24th, 1946, in Oak Cliff, TX to Clyde and Wilma Shelton.
Ronnie was known for his easy going and positive attitude toward life and the love and support he gave his Family. Whether he was playing music, on the Softball field, bowling, golfing, skiing, shooting, coaching, teaching his daughters how to work on a car, or fulfilling his role as Husband or brother, Ronnie was always patient, a great teammate, good teacher, generous with his time and talents, and had a quick wit that made everyone smile.
He graduated from Sunset High School, and attended Texas Tech, and Dallas Baptist College. During those years Ronnie worked as a Barber. After graduating, Ronnie worked for Bell Laboratories (AT&T) in Dallas, TX as an Account Executive. Ronnie took early retirement from AT&T, had some ownership in companies in the Trucking industry and Travel, but his heart was to be a full time Dad to Renee and Rachel never missing the opportunity to doctor injured, hands, ankles, and knees, cart around equipment, or discuss the softball games they played.
Ronnie is preceded in joining the Lord by his parents, Wilma B. Tillis Shelton, and Clyde L. Shelton.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 40 years Mary Sue Botsford Shelton: Daughters Rachel Kathryn Dillard, Renee Christian Milligan, Son in Laws Justin Dillard and George Milligan: Granddaughters Emeline Dillard, Peyton Dillard, Teagon Milligan, Elizabeth Milligan, and soon to be born Grandson Wyatt Milligan; Sister Vicki Shelton Johnson and Brother-in-law B. Michael Johnson, Nephews Jeff Johnson and Sean Johnson and families.
