Jim and I met at L P Cowart Elementry, grade 3, and on to Stockard, then on to Sunset. We remained friends throughout the years, than drifted apart after graduation. As luck would have it, we reconnected in the late 1990's through my hair stylist, Phyllis! She had recently married and her new last name was Buttrum. Yep! It was Jim! We met that night for dinner and kept in touch for many years. I spoke with Phyllis via Facebook and she told me that Jim was taken by Alzheimers. I will always remember him as that kind little boy who asked me to be his square dance partner in the 5th grade. Rest in peace sweet friend.
