Stoney, you will be MISSED! We went thru 3 schools and all grades together. What a great friend, athlete and person! Always with an amazing smile and friendly advice! I will always remember the basket he made from beyond mid-court in the 7th grade basketball game....wow!
We called him Stoney. The 3rd grade at a new grade school is hard for some kids, but I was spared the heartache because of 2 people; Mrs Jones and Stoney. I’ll never forget how excited he was to tell me all about my new school, LP Cowart, and how much fun I’m going to have. His enthusiasm overwhelmed me in fact. My head was spinning by the end of the day. What impressed me most, as a 3rd grader, were his purple shoe laces which he proudly displayed in his white, high top sneakers! We remained friends for many years and shared triumphs and disappointments together. He was a very special friend that I will miss very much.
