Joseph Michael Orman passed away August 28, 2014. He was born in Dallas, TX on April 6, 1946 to William B. Orman and Lavone Lowe.

He grew up in Dallas, TX and graduated from Sunset High School. He then attended 2 years at El Centro College and 2 years at North Texas College. After college he moved to New York to sell clothing. In 1981 he started selling insurance, while living in Charlotte, NC. In 1982 he settled back in the DFW area, selling insurance.

Joseph loved to play pool, a part of different leagues he played every Tuesday and Thursday. He also liked to watch Judge Judy and documentaries. He was very funny, always cracking jokes with his children and friends. He loved his dogs, particularly his Pomeranian "Spunky" and peekaboo "Bandit".

Joseph is preceded in death by his parents William and Lavone Orman; sister Regina Smith and nephew William B. Orman III.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Orman; children Allison Davis and her husband Howard, Aaron Orman; stepsons Steven Standefer and his wife Terri Ann, Chris Standefer, Justin Jones and his wife Twyla; grandchildren Taylor Orman, Chandler Wells; step-grandchildren Joy Standefer, Gavin Roberts; brothers William B. Orman Jr. and his wife Ruby, Warren Orman; brother-in-law Guy Smith; nieces Leisha Orman, Shara Benson and numerous great nieces and 1 great nephew.
