HEADRICK, DUANE, Longtime Dallas resident and real estate appraiser, passed away December 23, 2007. Duane was born August 19, 1947 in Enid, Oklahoma. At the age of three, he moved with his family to Amarillo, Texas, then to Dallas, Texas. Duane was active in school, playing drums in Jr. High and High School. He graduated from Sunset High School in 1965. Following graduation, he worked for the First National Bank in Dallas, then entering North Texas State University at Denton, Texas. During his second year at North Texas, he enlisted in the Army and served three years, spending one year in Viet Nam. After returning to Dallas, he spent his remaining years as a real estate appraiser. Duane is survived by his mother, Maurietta Headrick; his son, Bryan Headrick and daughter-in-law, Toni; sister, Diane Samar; and niece, Amy Samar.
