 HISTORY OF THE BISONETTES

The history of the drill team goes back to our first year of Sunset (1926)
they were called SUNSET HERITAGE PEP.

This lasted until 1942 and Ms. Mae Venable was the director of a new group
called the SUN RAYS. This lasted only 2 years, Class of 1942 and 1943.

From 1944 to 1949 we did not have any pep or drill team.
I do not know why, but perhaps it was due to WWII.

The class of 1950-51 Maureen Hearn was the new director of the very first BISONETTES
and the first captain was Judy Moon.

The class of 1955 was Mrs. Ford's first year as the Sponsor of the Bisonettes.

The rest, as they say, is history.
